Hello! Welcome to the new on-line version of the DELARA News! Our traditional printed newsletter has been one of the highlights of membership. But like the Amateur Radio hobby itself, we’re always looking for ways to improve and take another step forward. So here we are with the new electronic version of the DELARA News!
Unlike the printed version (limited to 7 pages by postage expense) we have all the room we need! We can add news items and stories that might not have fit in print. And, we can have more of them each month. That means YOU can submit your items - technical, your favorite antenna or radio, or chronicle a project or contest. Please know you’re always invited! If it interests you, it’ll most probably interest us!
Because it’s a web page, we can offer “clickable” pictures- want to see something in detail? Many browsers will right-click and expand pictures to full size. We can even offer videos and other media! We can offer embedded ‘links’ to other reports or web pages dealing with the topic- so you can instantly go deeper into the subject.
We haven’t left our paper-produced roots completely. We’ve formatted this so that if you want a paper copy, you can print the web pages from your browser to your local printer; they should print out to fit regular size paper.
We hope you keep checking into the DELARA website. The newsletters will stay on the website, so you’ll always be able to reread an article, or page through the newsletter archives for old, favorite articles. (Now what was that new call Craig got?)
Things You Should Know and how to get around

Look for the menu buttons across the top of the page: “Prez Sez” “Ham News” and the rest are how you get to each ‘page’ of the newsletter! Click on one, and then continue through the entire edition. If you are like most, you read the newsletter from front to back. You can do that easily here- at the bottom of each page is a ‘forward’ and ‘backward’ arrow- allowing you to scroll right on with the story.
There may be links in the article- they will let you jump to other articles, pictures, or websites. Use your browser’s back-up button to return.
To print the page you are reading, select “File” and “Print” from your browser menu.
