What’s for dinner? If you’re a CW operator, clicking is not something that you want to do. A couple of years ago, I was down in the shack and started to hear some clicking.  Where was that coming from?  No boat anchors, so no high voltage arcing over.  I had done some re-wiring of the 115 VAC wiring so was wondering about that.  Couldn’t quite place it so went on a hunt.  This was where it was coming from. Two spiders had snagged a snapping beetle and were enjoying some good eating.  The beetle was furiously clicking away trying to un-invite itself from dinner.  The spiders were kind of messy eaters judging from the floor.  They also seemed to be experts at luring bugs (not ones made by Vibroplex) based on how fat they were.  I’m pretty sure that those two were a husband-wife pair because a few weeks later there were a bunch of little pepper-sized spiders that would drop down on me while operating. Mother Nature can be kind of cruel and messy.
