Who: YOU and your family What: Our After-the-Holidays Holiday Party When: Saturday, January 8th at 5:00 PM Where: The Red Cross meeting room Food: • We’ll gather around 5:00 and eat around 5:30. The grub will be potluck except for the main dish which will be Ham, provided by the club. (What else would we serve?) • The club will also provide coffee and hot water for tea, plus rolls and condiments for ham sandwiches. (Cheese, mustard, mayo) • I’m asking those with call-sign suffixes starting with A through M to bring side dishes and those with suffixes N through Z to bring desserts. • If you have a special dish that is outside of your part of the alphabet, feel free to bring it. Please let me know though so we don’t get lop-sided on desserts or side dishes. • If you want to plug in a crock pot or other grub-heating device, there are outlets along the wall where we’ll set up. Bring an extension cord, just in case. • I don’t think we’ll need chafing dishes but let me know if you do need one. • Please bring drinks and disposable place settings for you and your family. • If your dessert or side dish might need a special condiment, please bring it. (i.e. Whipped cream, crushed red peppers, etc) • There will probably be yummy left-overs. Bring some zip lock bags to take some home in. (Check with the item’s chef first) Miscellaneous For ambiance, I’d like to have some Christmas background music. I need a volunteer to bring some Christmas music and something to play it on. I need five volunteers for set-up, tear-down, and clean-up. It would mean arriving an hour earlier and leaving an hour later. I’m thinking some of our younger members would like to do that. I’m sure I forgot to mention some things. I’ll be following up with an email or two with this same info plus more. Reply to that if you’d like to volunteer or have suggestions for the party.
