DELARANEWS
…. …To be in the Delara Boot Camp! We’re looking for a Few Good Folks to be part of the inaugural Delara Ham Radio Basics Class. The class is aimed at newer hams, either new in time or new in experience. Some of you have been licensed for a while but haven’t been able to jump into the hobby with both feet like you’d like to. Our typical student will be someone who has little or no HF experience. The instructors have some of the curriculum outlined already but we need your input to make sure we cover the things you want to know. Perhaps you’d like to build your own wire antenna, test it with an analyzer, and have the fun of getting it up in the air and making a contact on it. Maybe you’d just like to sit in front of one of our rigs at the Red Cross and make a few QSOs. Field Day is in June and you’ll want to have some practice in front of a rig ahead of time. We’re planning on a Late May/early June time frame for the class. There may be cost(s) involved with some of the projects. (Antenna materials, etc) Contact me if you have questions, suggestions for things to cover, or want to sign up. (k8mp@aol.com) Now drop and give me 20! (After all, this is Boot Camp) Seeeeeeeeeeya, Joe
