Contesting

The North American QSO Party, CW - DELARA was in the mix: Super good job Joe!!! CONGRATS! I know for me, it's tough handling 35 wpm code for 8 hours. I think they get faster each contest! I spent more time than you but mine was 99.9% S&P. (See attached statistical summary). I worked 46 of 50 states and 33 of them were in the first three hours! You probably did even better. Just goes to show anyone interested in going for WAS or related North America wall paper that contests are the way it can be done in a weekend. 73 - Dale W8KTQ NAQPCW Summary Sheet Start Date : 2022-08-06 CallSign Used : W8KTQ Operator(s) : W8KTQ Operator Category : SINGLE-OP Assisted Category : NON-ASSISTED Band : ALL Power : LOW Mode : CW Default Exchange : Dale OH Gridsquare : EN80 Name : Dale Bauer Address : 3120 N Three Bs and K Road City/State/Zip : Sunbury OH 43074 Country : USA ARRL Section : OH Club/Team : Delaware Contest Team Software : N1MM Logger+ 1.0.9635.0 Band QSOs Pts Sec Mt2 Pt/Q 1.8 23 23 14 0 1.0 3.5 34 34 19 0 1.0 7 101 101 36 1 1.0 14 119 119 38 2 1.0 21 32 32 11 1 1.0 28 16 16 9 0 1.0 Total 325 325 127 4 1.0 Score : 42,575 On Sun, Aug 7, 2022 at 12:03 PM Joe K8MP via groups.io <K8mp=aol.com@groups.io> wrote: I got 8 hours in. My usual modus operandi... Set "hamalert" software to ping my phone for missing states relevant to CW 5BWAS. Wait for pings; check radio; if heard, work 'em. Logged about a dozen. Big fish for me was North Dakota on 80M (with wimpy low antenna). Forgot about 100W limit and was using amp.:( Stay out of jail..."check log" submitted...:)
