N0TW Silent Key
More horrible news:
N0TW is now a Silent Key. I received this from my CW pal K1LKP, Carmen.
Here's part of my reply to Carmen:
Terry was a huge part of our club for a long time before he moved to Florida and then the
Philippines, including a stint as club president.
Terry and I operated many FDs together as part of the Delaware (Ohio) Amateur Radio Assn.
(K8ES)
Terry was a master antenna builder. His club newsletter byline was "N-0-Tenna-Wizard".
Our club has lost too many guys over the last 2-3 years.
- Joe, K8MP
i can add to Joe’s story. In addition to building some amazing (read: really big!) antennas, Terry
was a dedicated contester. Back in the early 80’s, I was part of a Field Day group that operated
south of Mt. Vernon. Craig, W8CR, may or may not have been associated as well as Roy,
W8REH. Terry operated 40 CW, and he would sit down at the beginning and just quietly work
away making huge numbers of Q’s. We operated there for several years and our group had a
strong bond. I agree - seems like a lot have passed recently.
- Stan, N8BHL
Terry had an address in Florida, but was
operating DU1 in the Philippines with his wife
Susan. Typically Terry was building a tall tower,
and a barn as their first occupancy.
He will be missed.
