DELARA Vice President Stan Broadway, N8BHL

Editor, DELARA News.  Webmaster, www.k8es.org. Vice President 2016, 2017 Stan is the Ohio Section Emergency Coordinator, after serving as the Delaware County EC for several years. He is a retired Fire/EMS dispatcher, still active as a volunteer firefighter. Stan has been licensed since around 1979, and has served as a net control for the Central Ohio Severe Weather Net. He is now a net control for the Hurricane Watch Net. Stan publishes the monthly DELARA news, twice recognized as the Great Lakes District “Best Newsletter” and he publishes the DELARA website. His other interests include playing bass and cello at the Johnstown Vineyard church. Radio interests include digital modes, cw, phone and just a smattering of contests.

DELARA Secretary / Treasurer Ken Bird, W8SMK

Secy / Treasurer 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 Ken is retired from the communications business, where among other things he worked with cellular sites and antennas/grounding. Ken has also spend some time in broadcasting and radio repair. His ham interests have spanned from amateur television to amateur repeaters (he’s the trustee of the 145.17 machine) to ‘conversational’ HF with his circle of builder/developer friends. He’s been a part of DELARA since day 1, and has for several years been secretary/treasurer. For over 20 years he also produced the DELARA News, our club newsletter.

DELARA President Joe Fischer, AA8TA

President 2017 Joe was licensed in 1974, his interest leading to a Master’s in Electrical Engineering from OSU. A recent convert to CW, he has added that to voice and digital modes. Joe concentrates on contests and state QSO parties. Joe’s contributions have been important to DELARA - his newsletter columns, interest in club brochures and other outreaches. Joe is a passionate advocate for our club!
